We'll be in South Korea til October 1. Then we visit Tiawan, where Lareena's been, to test her Mandarin skills, should be a week or so. After that we have to decide. Vietnam? Thailand? Philippines? Guam? Singapore? Malaysia? In any case, we hope to be in Australia, around November 1, give our take a few days. Then we plan to explore Australia for 2 months (searching for a new hat for Lareena), then to New Zealand for 3 months!
All this is just to get to Hobbiton, after all.

Why don't we have a firm plan more than 3-4 weeks out? Well, mostly it's too much to plan. We've made lists of features we might like in each country, but information on transportation can be vague. Situations in other countries can change. What's allowed into which country may be an issue. Mostly, it's not like traveling the USA, or the Schengen/European Union, where you can go anywhere at practically any time. We're traveling in all separate countries, each, we assume, will ask where are you staying, and when are you planning to leave?! ...so we'll be planning that far ahead.
Ex: We know exactly what we hope to do in Japan, and have flight in and Ferry out information, and so now we plan for South Korea and book a flight to Taiwan before we go to South Korea, etc.
