Heads can be blazoned in different ways: Face is the same as "cabossed" but for cats, Mask is for foxes, all showing the face front with no neck showing. With the neck would be "Couped" (cut straight across) or "Erased" (torn off with uneven fur or feathery ends). The default head though, is side view facing dexter with the neck erased.
